I was dreading going to Nairobi (or Nairobbery as it as often known). I had heard so many bad stories about the place that I was considering missing out Kenya altogether, but I'm pleased that I didn't. I did get ripped off once by a con artist (still kicking myself about that one) but generally, if you follow some basic safety rules, Nairobi is no worse than London.
